"That's an interesting strategy, but it will never work here." "We need to be more strategic about execution."

Twenty years of hearing both statements, from both sides of the table, is why Convergency exists: to close the gap between the strategy and the P&L it lands in.

Too many strategists have never run a business. Too many operators treat strategy as abstraction.

I have sat in all three seats where that gap gets expensive: advising deals as a consultant, setting direction as a corporate executive, and owning the number as a general manager.

My commitment is simple: I personally lead every engagement Convergency takes on, from the first framing session to the last operating review.

"What is your strategy? How are you going to win in the marketplace?“ Those should be questions that most employees, let alone executives, should be able to answer.

Unfortunately that is not the case. My goal is to work with clients to simplify strategy - which in turn simplifies execution.  Simple, right? Perhaps not.

Companies often get caught in the 'incrementality trap' - making things slightly better than they were before.  A slightly better product, slightly lower cost, etc.  However, the winners are often those who look at the problem in a fundamentally different manner.

Over my 20 year career, I have helped companies do  just that - both from the inside, as an employee, and from the outside, as a consultant. I want to continue helping clients in this manner, and for me, that is the motivation behind Convergency.
